This
page links to field notes, observations and
photographs taken when out and about exploring the
geology of Mull and Iona. These are not meant to be
excursion guides, per se, but instead are
designed to give the reader a feel for what can be
found in the areas listed.
The
author has made extensive use of five of the British
Geological Survey's memoirs - details of these are

web page. Note that some of these are only available
as photocopies from the BGS. For each location, the
appropriate maps, books and memoirs are listed.
