26th Dec: Re-designed the Resources Pages - uploaded  -now contain links to a database of publications. Maps, books, Journals and web sites are now all listed on separate pages.

9th Dec: Final field trip was to Carsaig on Saturday the 9th Dec. Many thanks to all of you for attending the course through to the end. The retention rate has been impressive! Hope you got something out of it! Looking forward to the New Year, there are plans for a social evening and to explore ways of having other regular field trips. Watch this space!

1st Dec: Been in discussion with some vulcanologists who are planning a visit to Mull in January. Hopefully they will be able to give a talk on their work. More details as soon as we have them.

Update on the night classes. We have had about 12 people each night since the classes began. It is great to see this level of interest and hopefully we can move forward to establish other classes in future, probably through Argyll College again as it has been a very successful arrangement. Field trips have also been well attended. Thanks to all for your support!

25th Oct: Night Class now up and running at Argyll College. Meets on Wed evening between 7pm and 9pm. Field trips to be run on Saturdays, the first trip is on Saturday the 4th Nov to Ardmore Point to look at lavas, dykes and sills.

11th Oct: Major updating to the web site - some simplification of overall design and a lot of extra pages added

9th Oct: "Introductory Evening" talk was a success with over two dozen people in attendance. Night Classes will begin on the 25th October - note the change of date. For more information or if you want to enrol, Contact Yvonne at Argyll College - 01688 302801

23rd Aug:  Update on Geology events. 18th Sept: "An Introduction to the Geology of Mull & Iona", at An Tobar, 8pm. This is also an introduction for the Night Class students. 23rd Sept: Geological Excursion during Food Festival. 18th Oct: Night Classes start at Argyll College.

14th Aug 06: Rock list page updated. More specimens collected for cairn. Geological Excursion details are given on the Food Festival web site. www.mi-food.co.uk

11th July 06: Geology cairn project well underway - number of collected samples is growing. For details, please email (see contacts page). Also, geological excursion is planned as part of the Food Festival in September. Watch this page for details.

15th June 06: Basic site is now being filled with content  - major photographing and scanning operation is planned for the next few months.

10th June 06: Basic web site is now complete - most pages are in place. Now to start filling it with content!

9th June 06: Plans are underway for geology evening classes this Autumn / Winter. Hoping to start this in conjunction with Scottish Geology Festival. More details when we get them. Meanwhile, check out the Scottish Geology web site at www.scottishgeology.com Also it is likely that there will be a half-day event planned for September aimed at visitors to Mull, similar in scope and content to the Wild Isles event (www.wildisles.co.uk)
