Geological Cairn : A project to build a cairn, containing representative samples of all the rocks of these islands and to provide interpretative material for visitors.

Loch Ba Ring Dyke Walk : More than just a hill walk or a geological  excursion this is the story of an attempt to try to walk the entire length of the Loch Ba Ring Dyke, from Loch Ba, over to Glen Cannel, Glen Forsa and back over to Loch Ba again. An attempt to re-create the experience of the old Geological Survey officers. But with Gore-tex, walking poles and GPS....
