One of the biggest problems with links pages is that they can quickly fill up with obsolete or deleted hyperlinks. We've all been to the dreaded "404 page not found" before! Many of the geology sites on the net have a lot of dead links. So if any of these links change or cease to work or whatever, let me know.

Geology Sites These sites are general in nature and cover a wide range of subjects within Geology relating to these islands.

• Scottish Agates  Renato Forno's excellent web site on Agates. He has some information and pictures of Mull and Iona agates here. 

• Geowalks Angus Millers geological tours web site. Angus runs regular trips to Mull, Iona and other places nearby. Well worth a look!

• Geosec Slides Very interesting - Rob cuts and mounts his own thin sections and sells them through his Ebay shop: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Geosec-Slides He frequently has examples of Mull rocks for sale. Personally recommended by the webmaster!

• Web Archive (web.archive.org) A fascinating place to go to see what sites looked like a long time ago. Good for tracking down sites that have been removed

• Google Best search engine. Most of the Search Engine hits on this web site are Google originated. Followed by Yahoo! Don't just use the basic search; try the Images and Groups search options as well - you can uncover a lot of good stuff this way.
