Museums, Exhibits:

There is a museum on the Main Street in Tobermory which is well worth a  visit. They have geological specimens on display.

Tel: 01688 302493. Open Easter to Mid-October, 10:00 till 16:00 weekdays, 10:00 till 13:00 on Saturdays.

There is also a display of rocks at the Ross of Mull Historical Centre in Bunessan.

Mull Historical & Archaeological Society have information on their web site about the geology of Mull. Web site: www.mull-historical-society.co.uk There is some fairly detailed information about Mull and Iona geology on the Members section of the MHAS web site. However, this is only available to members of the Society.

Rock Collection:
The author of this website is in the process of building up a definitive collection of rocks from the area and this may be available for public viewing in the future.
