Geological Tours.

Several operators are either doing geological tours, or including geology as part of more general tours. Have a look at the following sites:

Geology Promotion

The author of this site is involved in the promotion of geology and raising awareness about it generally. He regularly gives talks on the subject and has held  a series of evening classes with field trips in the latter part of 2006. These classes were part of the Argyll College winter programme. If there are any other events planned, see the news page where details will be posted.

Also, it is worth keeping an eye on the local newspaper, Am Muileach, for any news of any up and coming geological events. The local "what's on" guide "Round and About" also lists what is happening month by month. Round and About has a web site -  www.roundandabout-mull.co.uk/
